We trained the people
who run the region.
Tristar was founded in Dundee, Scotland in 1988 to serve the UK's North Sea oil and gas industry. Since 2000, our Cairo-anchored Tristar Middle East has become one of the region's most established training and consulting partners — with a portfolio that spans technical engineering, leadership, HR, finance, and globally-recognised procurement certification.
From the North Sea to the MENA region.
The same engineering rigour that built our reputation in Scotland's offshore fields now underpins every programme we deliver in Cairo and Abu Dhabi.
Tristar Oilfield Services — Dundee, Scotland
Founded to provide engineering, consulting and supervisory services to UK domestic and international oil and gas operators. From offices in Wester Gourdie Industrial Estate, Tristar's earliest engagements set the technical standard the firm still holds today.
Tristar Middle East — Cairo, Egypt
Following a regional market survey, Tristar opened a Middle East office in Cairo to serve the rapidly growing oil and gas markets across MENA and Africa. Officially registered as Tristar Middle East, the office has anchored regional operations for 25 years.
Tristar Gulf for Training — Abu Dhabi, UAE
Established to meet rising demand for training across the Gulf, with a registered Abu Dhabi base through the 2010s. Today our Gulf delivery is operated from Cairo with on-the-ground capability across the UAE and KSA — programmes are designed around each client's competency framework and delivered on-site or in classroom format as the engagement requires.
A new visual identity
A complete brand renewal — the five-vertex star, new wordmark, refined typographic and color system — captures Tristar's evolution from a heritage technical training firm to a multi-discipline workforce partner.
Authorised CIPS Study Centre
Tristar is approved to deliver the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply qualification — the most respected procurement credential globally. Level 4 cohorts now run in Cairo and Abu Dhabi across instructor-led, exam-prep and bundled tracks.
One Cairo office. Gulf delivery presence. One MENA team.

Our project portfolio spans national oil companies, international majors, and joint ventures across the region — wherever industrial workforces need to be trained, certified or upskilled.

Help client organisations win through their people.
We help client organisations gain a competitive advantage through people. That means designing programmes that don't just educate the workforce — they equip teams with the skills, judgment and confidence to grow within their organisations.
Where training is the right answer, we build it around participation: a great deal of emphasis on practising, applying and embedding skills in the actual workplace context.
The MENA region's most trusted workforce partner.
By bringing together academic depth and industry experience, we've built a portfolio with a track record covering virtually every major operator in the region — and a growing footprint in procurement, leadership and corporate functions.
Our clients include PetroChina Iraq, CNOOC Iraq, Shell, TotalEnergies, ADNOC, Greater Nile Petroleum, Al Furat, Petrodar, BP Egypt, AGIBA Egypt and many others.
Five vertices. Five commitments.
Tristar's brandmark — the five-vertex star — represents the qualities that have defined our work for over 25 years across MENA. Each vertex stands for a value we apply to every cohort and every consulting engagement.
Leadership
Senior practitioners who have led the operations they teach.
Expertise
Decades of hands-on industry depth across MENA's most demanding sectors.
Innovation
Hybrid programmes, simulation, recorded sessions, exam question banks.
Adaptability
Tailored to your organisation, your discipline, your standards.
Trust
The names you work with already trust us — and stay with us.
Practitioners first. Teachers second.
Our instructors are selected for one quality above all: real, sustained experience in the field they teach. Every Tristar trainer holds a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, the relevant industry certifications, and brings at least 10 years of working experience plus 5 years of training experience to the classroom.
Multilingual
All trainers deliver fluently in Arabic and English — important for nationalisation programmes and mixed-language cohorts.
Cross-industry
Our roster covers oil & gas operations, mechanical and electrical engineering, instrumentation, HSE, finance, HR, and procurement.
Continuously developed
Trainers commit to ongoing professional development — keeping pace with new technology, regulations and industry methodologies.
Two engagement models. Endless customisation.
Nationalisation Programmes
Multi-year programmes built around the competencies and skills your organisation defines — designed to take new staff from entry through to operationally-competent at scale. Includes HSE, oil & gas fundamentals, discipline-specific theory, workshops and on-the-job training. Suitable for replacing retiring cohorts or addressing manpower shortages.
All-Discipline Courses
Standalone courses for new and existing staff — refreshers, capability enhancements and introductions to new technology and operating methods. Disciplines include HSE, production operations, maintenance, drilling, finance & accounting, administration, management, soft skills, security, and now CIPS procurement.
